Chicago police officers shot a man after he pointed a gun at them in the Englewood neighborhood Wednesday morning.  The man remains in the hospital.

Police say they were called to a home in the 6700 block of South Wolcott Ave for a second time early this morning to stop a fight between the suspect and his stepfather.

The suspect ran out of the house and police chased him.

They say that’s when he pointed a gun at the officers.

The suspect was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious to critical condition.

None of the officers at the scene was injured.
