A decision is expected in several days by an election board to determine whether Cicero Town President Larry Dominick should be kept on the ballot in the upcoming municipal election.
At a hearing Friday, Dominick was questioned about maintenance and remodeling work at his home– and whether he ever received the proper permits.
Dominick testified his ex-wife handled the renovation work and she took all documentation when she moved out.
Juan Ochoa, who is running against Dominick, is challenging his candidacy claiming the incumbent owes money to the town.
If the election panel rules Dominick should be removed from the ballot.
The incumbent can appeal the decision to a Cook County Election Judge.
