Microsoft introduces ‘Xbox One’

“This is the beginning of truly intelligent TV,” a Microsoft executive said Tuesday, while introducing their upcoming home entertainment system, ‘Xbox One.’

Voice activation plays a key role, saying “Xbox on,” turns the system on, while other voice commands switch from gaming to television to Internet.

Loaded with 8 gigabytes of memory, an updated controller and new-generation Kinect sensor, the system will offer exclusive National Football League content and eight new game franchises.

Perhaps most spectacularly, Steven Spielberg will be creating a premium television series based on “Halo” for the Xbox One.

The console is expected to be released later this year.
