The Illinois Association of Extended Care (IAEC) was founded in 1988 and operates as a registered 501(c) 3 not-for-profit corporation. The purpose of IAEC is to unite residential care facilities within the State of Illinois to improve the quality of services. The members of IAEC provide a very valuable service in the contiuum of care-recovery management and recovery support services.

One of their primary objectives is to raise awareness about the lack of transitional housing and support services for the homeless, HIV/AIDS impacted individuals and their families and veterans who struggle with alcohol/substance abuse related issues.

The plan for client care continuity in your community should address and deal with all people who may need services and involve a breadth of service options.
