WOOD DALE, Ill. — The death of a father during the storm that hit Wood Dale is leading to a lawsuit.

This is a picture of Steven Nincic, with one of his two children, at the Wood Dale ‘Prairie Fest’ on Sunday.

It happened just minutes before a powerful storm tore through the area.

Nincic and his family were under a tent, which collapsed and killed him.

Twenty other people were injured.

Now the family’s attorney says they’ll file a lawsuit today.

Workers had been removing the tent and other materials from the festival all day Monday.

Officials in wood dale say the tent had an electrical inspection, but not a structural one.
