Cubs 1 win away from clinching first series at Wrigley

CHICAGO -- One day after a historic night on the North Side, the Chicago Cubs now have a chance to clinch a postseason series at Wrigley Field for the first time ever.

The wind was blowing out for Game 3 against the Cardinals Monday night. Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo broke out of a 0-for-21 slump with back-to-back homers in the 5th inning for a three-run lead.

Jake Arrieta struggled for the first time in months, giving up four earned runs.

But the Cubs set a playoff record with six home runs by six different players and won the game 8-6.

Game 4 is Tuesday at 3:37. Win, and the Cubs move on to the National League Championship Series for the first time in 12 years.
