BARRINGTON, Ill. -- A sinkhole has opened under the garage of a home in northwest suburban Barrington.
The concrete floor buckled beneath two parked cars on Sunday.
No one was hurt. The property backs up to a marsh.
Village authorities are warning neighbors that a similar thing could happen on their lots.
A professional, structural engineer will be brought in for inspection.
The cars will remain in the garage until it's determined that they can safely be removed.
