PHOTOS: Storms causing heavy floods, flight delays across Chicago area

CHICAGO -- Heavy storms are causing flooding across northern Illinois and flight delays at local airports.

After torrential rainfall this afternoon, there have been several reports of flooded streets and parks across the area, including in Darien and Woodridge, causing problems for drivers today.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for DuPage, De Kalb, Will, Kane, and Cook counties this afternoon after radar detected storms dropping up to two inches of rain an hour.
