Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s resentencing Tuesday

Appeals court hears arguments for Blagojevich retrial

CHICAGO — It’s sentencing all over again for former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.

US District Judge James Zagel will hear his case Tuesday, nearly five-years after he first handed the former governor a 14-year sentence.

Since that day, five of his 18 counts of corruption have been overturned.

Blagojevich is hoping his sentence can be reduced to five-years.

He will appear through a closed-circuit television link from his Colorado prison.
