Thieves steal Chicago woman’s van with precious artwork inside

CHICAGO -- Chicago police are on the lookout for a stolen Chrysler minivan but it’s what’s inside that matters most to the owner.

Victoria Fuller, an artist in Bucktown, had her minivan stolen last week some time between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 2p.m. Tuesday from her garage. To make matters worse, inside was a one of a kind sculpture she made that looks like a coiled rope and ends in a snake's head.

The sculpture is worth about 4500 dollars and was supposed to be shown at an upcoming art show.

Chicago police have put out a community alert. they're looking for a blue 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with Illinois environmental license plate number 83749EN.

Nearby cameras didn’t capture the theft.

Fuller says she’s still hopeful it might be found.
