4 injured, including 17-year-old, in Evanston shooting

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Four people were shot in Evanston late Tuesday night.

Police say they were standing near Foster Street and Jackson Avenue just after 10 p.m., when someone started shooting at them from a nearby field.

The unknown suspect fired numerous shots and then fled on foot.

The victims are 17-year-old resident of Evanston who was shot two times in the arm, a 19-year-old resident of Evanston who was shot in the ankle, a 24-year-old resident of Evanston who was shot in the head, and a 32-year-old resident of Skokie who was shot in the hand.

They were all transported to Evanston Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No one is in custody.

Anyone with information is asked to call Evanston police.
