Woman punched on the ‘606’; suspect threatened to take her dog

CHICAGO -- A woman says she was attacked while walking her dog on The 606's Bloomingdale Trail.

It happened Tuesday night near Western Avenue.

The victim told police she was on the phone with a friend when a young woman rode up on a bike and punched her in the face.

She says the woman rode away, then returned with a large group.

They threatened to hit her again and take her dog.

The woman ran to the nearest exit and called 9-1-1.

Police arrived but were unable to find the suspects.
