New Report Shows Illinois Human Service Providers Still Hurting Under Stopgap Plan

In June, Illinois lawmakers passed a stopgap spending plan to keep the government running through the end of the year – but some of the state’s most vulnerable residents are still suffering without a full budget.

A new report shows two state departments have made $383 Million dollars less in payments to human service providers between 2015 and 2016, resulting in fewer or complete loss of services across the state.
