Woman killed by Metra train on Chicago’s Northwest Side

CHICAGO -- A woman was killed by a Metra train on Chicago’s Northwest Side.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Forest Glen station.

The train was headed to Union Station from Fox Lake.

It’s not clear how the woman ended up on the tracks.

The train was stopped for two hours as officials investigated the scene.
