NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The owner of Petland in Naperville is asking for the public’s help.  He says that yesterday, a 12-week-old puppy was stolen from the store.

Twelve weeks is very young and the people in the area are very worried.

Surveillance video from yesterday appears to show the incident. Shortly before 4:30 p.m. Monday, the store says that a couple was inside for about 11 minutes. They asked for Bella, a female Pomeranian.  The store says workers tried to see if the man and woman needed anything but they said no.

Eventually the couple wrapped Bella in their arms, and walked out with her.

What the couple may not realize is that the puppy was implanted with a microchip, which is registered to the store. The people at Petland are hoping somebody recognizes Bella and calls the Naperville police.

Bella is a very young puppy. She has a vaccination schedule that needs to be maintained.
