GLENVIEW, Ill. -- The North Shore Walk to End Alzheimer’s was held with hundreds raising money for research and support of those families living with Alzheimer’s.
Stories of those caring for family members and friends impacted by Alzheimer’s were shared over and over again, making each step so much more than just charity. For many, it was about helping those you love, get the help they need
Walks like the North Shore Walk fund research for things like new medication for patients.
Participants say the sights and sounds from today encourage those already on their path, and also provide achance to go farther on their journey.
They say it also helps plant the seeds of hope, that a younger generation’s journey toward the long goodbye won’t be as painful.
