3 killed, 1 injured when motorcycle, SUV collide on South Side

CHICAGO — Authorities say three people are dead and a fourth was critically injured when a motorcycle and vehicle crashed on Chicago's South Side.

Police say the crash happened just before 10:20 p.m. Monday in the 10500 block of South Indianapolis Avenue in the city's East Side neighborhood.

Police said a motorcycle carrying two men collided with an SUV carrying two women.

The SUV made a left turn at a green light when the motorcycle went through a red light and crashed into the side of the SUV.

The two men on the motorcycle and the passenger of the SUV, a 35-year-old woman, were killed. The SUV driver, a 28-year-old woman, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

The Chicago Police Department's Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
