CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was arrested after police found a gun in his locker and ammunition in his sock.

Julius Burke was taken into custody Thursday afternoon during a lockdown at West Town Academy. Police responded to the scene in the 500 block of North Sacramento for a report of someone with a gun.

The lockdown was lifted after the gun was recovered. There were no reports of any injuries.

Burke is charged with one one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon at a school.

He is expected to court Friday.

West Town Academy is an alternative Chicago Public School.
