CHICAGO - They might not be one of the four teams taking part in the festivities at the United Center on Saturday, but DePaul will play a major role in a new basketball classic.
During the first annual State Farm Chicago Legends, in which Northwestern faces Dayton along with Illinois taking on BYU, the Blue Demons will have two of their greatest members of their basketball team honored at the event.
Longtime coach Ray Meyer, who won 724 games , and Mark Aguirre, the 1980 Naismith College Basketball Player of the Year, will have tribute during the doubleheader at the United Center on Saturday.
To discuss the two DePaul legends, we had Ray's son and former Blue Demons coach Joey Meyer come on Sports Feed to discuss the pair on Thursday's show.
He talked about his father, who will be honored posthumously, and Aguirre, who plans to attend the event, with Jarrett Payton and Josh Frydman.
