CHICAGO – No one was injured in a fire on Chicago’s Southwest Side this afternoon but had firefighters battling the blaze as well as the elements.

The extra alarm fire in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood damaged a building in which four people lived.  They were able to get out safely.

The falling snow and cold temperatures made it more challenging but firefighters remained safe.

The department says it will continue to monitor the building to make sure nothing flares up again.
