CHICAGO -- Bears fans had to endure two indignities today at Soldier Field. They got beat by the Packers, and they had freezing temperatures to deal with. Both Bears and Packers fans came to soldier in several layers of clothing, most telling WGN that it wasn't enough to shield them from the below freezing temperatures.

In northwest Indiana, which received the highest snow totals of over 9 in. overnight, rapid snowfall combined with drifting snow made snow removal difficult. During a rough patch from 6 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday,  troopers responded to 38 reported crashes and 34 slide offs. Interstates I-80 and I-94 were the big problem, where snow and ice packed onto the lanes and ramps, causing drivers to fishtail and land in ditches.
