Person in custody following disturbance at Trump Tower in Chicago

CHICAGO– Chicago police and fire officials responded to a disturbance at Trump Tower following reports of a bomb threat Friday.

At a press conference Friday afternoon, Superintendent Eddie Johnson confirmed “there is a person in custody that is mentally challenged but they have not been charged at this time.”

He said the person has “been taken to the hospital and is being evaluated.”

There is no danger to the public.
