Man, woman found fatally shot on West Side

CHICAGO -- Chicago police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and a woman on the West Side.

The shooting happened after Wednesday morning  in the 1400 block of South Kenneth in the city's Lawndale neighborhood.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired and found a 61-year-old man, and a woman believed to be in her 50s.

Police have not released any information about a motive for the shooting.

But family members identify the victims as Johnny “Nick” McQueen and Collette Cannon.

WGN News is told the victims were a couple, not married but they had been together for some time and most recently had everyone over for a Super Bowl party.

Neighbors say heard three shots, sometime after 8 a.m.

McQueen was found outside on the side of the building. Cannon’s body was found inside.
