Three firefighters were injured during Wednesday night’s storms after putting out the fire on the roof of a house hit by lightning near Wheaton.

The firefighters had numbness in their hands and tightness in their chest and were taken to the hospital. They are all expected to be ok.

Residents are starting to call the 2100 block of Durfee Rd in unincorporated DuPage Cty lightning alley.  The house before the one hit by lightning tonight was also hit by lightning and two other homes on this street have been struck in the past.
