LOCKPORT, Ill. -- Two people found dead inside a house that was under construction in Lockport, IL Tuesday were construction workers, police said.

Their bodies were found inside the townhouse around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday by a project foreman who arrived to early check on the progress of the new "Sagebrook" development.

Lockport police are being tight-lipped about their investigation so far. The Major Crimes Unit and Will County are also being brought in on this case.

While police won't confirm, Neighbors and those working here say they saw a construction vehicle still at this address and the door open last night.

Lockport Police Chief Terry Lemming didn't provide a possible cause of death during a press conference Tuesday night, but did say the community is not in danger. Autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday.
