Winter parking ban takes effect Sunday

CHICAGO — It’s that time of year once more! The city’s winter parking ban goes into effect at 3 a.m. Thursday.

It will be in effect from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m., whether there is snow or not.

Signs are posted on more than 100 miles of affected streets.

In 2014, 239 vehicles were towed on the first day of the overnight parking ban.
