Baby boy found dead inside South Side home

CHICAGO – Investigators are conducting a death investigation after a baby was found dead in a home on the South Side.

Police say emergency crews were called to the home near 66th and Racine in the city’s Englewood neighborhood around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

When they arrived, they discovered a 1-month-old boy unresponsive.

The child was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to police there were “no obvious signs of trauma.”
