CHICAGO - They may have lost to them earlier in the season, but Maine South High School's football team made the most of a second chance against the defending state champions.

After losing to Loyola Academy during the regular season, the Hawks beat them in the Class 8A State Championship game at Memorial Stadium on November 28th.

The 27-17 victory gave Maine South their sixth state title in school history while ending the Ramblers' 30-game winning streak.

As a salute to their championship, three members of the team came on Sports Feed for a salute to their championship on Wednesday night. Quarterback Nick Leongas, offensive guard Kevin Jarvis and linebacker Sean McNulty came on the show to discuss their run to the state championship.

Watch their segment on Wednesday's show with Jarrett Payton and Josh Frydman in the video above.
