RIVERDALE --   Loved ones, friends, and fans of an aspiring rapper gathered tonight to remember him, after his body was found inside a suburban home.

Jeremy Nixon say he was found dead at a recording studio in south suburban Riverdale Monday.

Nixon, who went by the stage name "Boss Status Duke," was at the home studio when a shooting took place November 16.

It is still unclear whether Nixon’s  body had been in the house the entire time or if it was recently moved there, but friends at the vigil believe the police investigation has been faulty.

The South Suburban Major Crime Task Force has now taken over and is investigating the homicide.

The Riverdale Police Dept  is conducting an internal review of the handling of this case.
