Snowplow killed worker at Deep Tunnel site in Summit, OSHA says

SUMMIT, Ill. -- OSHA is investigating after a man was killed by a snowplow at the "Deep Tunnel" water construction project in Summit.

It happened Monday evening in the 7700 block of Canal Bank Rd.

The victim has been identified as 55-year-old Robert Ellison of Spring Grove. He was employed by Kiewit, a Chicago-based Fortune 300 company that operates through a network of offices and projects in the United States, Canada and Australia.

An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
