CHICAGO -- If you live in the city of Chicago you need to follow some rules when it comes to snow removal.

Any daytime snowfall must be cleared by 10 p.m.

And any night time snowfall must be cleared by 10 a.m.

If you don`t clear the snow, you could get a warning, and then a 500 dollar ticket.

But the wet and heavy snow can be back-breaking work, which is where technology is helping ease winter worries.

A new app called Plowz and Mowz lets you order a snow plow to your home. Founder and CEO Wills Mahoney thinks of it as an Uber for plows. So far, more than 300 landscape companies are participating.

WGN's Mike Lowe has more.
