CHICAGO -- Christmas arrived a week early for one family Saturday, including presents under the tree and ornaments hung by an NBA superstar.
The Bulls' Dwyane Wade joined in as a fleet of Santas gave one family's Austin home a complete makeover. The Wade's World Foundation, the Bulls and Roomplace all came together for the special holiday surprise.
"Families struggle all through the year, but when the holidays come it’s just a little extra, a little bit more when you don’t have what other kids have," Wade said. "[It's nice] to know that you’re enhancing someone’s, you know, life, for the holidays."
"I’m just happy they’re happy. Everything this year’s been a sacrifice for them; I just completed nursing school so I’m very happy for them, and they deserve it, " said mom Monique Middleton.
