Man arrested after bomb threat at Chicago Airbnb home

CHICAGO -An apartment building on the West Side was evacuated after an AirBnB host found suspicious items inside a renter's room.

When the man returned to the building in Homan Square today, he was detained until  police showed up.

Another AirBnB renter said the man was acting suspiciously.

He described what he saw in the man's room as items used to make a pipe bomb.

The police bomb and arson unit confiscated the items and determined there was no immediate threat.

The man arrested is still in custody.

No charges have been filed.
