Police: Skokie middle school students expected to be charged in school shooting plot

SKOKIE, Ill. — Charges are expected for two children in connection with a school shooting plot at a North Suburban school.

The children are expected to be charged as juveniles.

Skokie police were called to McCracken Middle School Wednesday morning.

They interviewed three other students who were suspected of knowing about the plan.

Those students were released to their parents.

Police say there’s no “viable” threat to students.
