Suspect shot after officers return fire, Aurora police say

AURORA, Ill. -- A person was shot by Aurora police officers in the 900 block of Superior Street.

According to police, multiple officers were fired upon before returning gunfire.

None of the officers were struck, but one of the suspects was shot in the leg and was taken to a hospital.

Police say several suspects were taken into custody.
