18-year-old shot and killed near CTA Pink Line station

CHICAGO – A teenager was shot and killed on Chicago’s West Side Thursday night.

The 18-year-old male was shot near the CTA Pink Line station near 21st and Pulaski in the city’s Lawndale neighborhood around 9 p.m.

Police say the victim was standing on the sidewalk when someone approached him and opened fire.

He was shot in the neck and back.

His identity has not yet been released. So far, no one is in custody.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time.
