Normal service restored after CTA Red Line train derailment

CHICAGO — The CTA’s Red Line is back to normal after a train derailment in the Loop.

A southbound CTA Red Line train derailed shortly after 8:30 p.m. Thursday, at State and Lake.

One car derailed but no one was hurt.

Southbound trains were temporarily rerouted to the elevated lines– but regular service has resumed this morning.
