CHICAGO — A West Side man featured in the Oscar-nominated documentary “Hoop Dreams” is facing battery charges.

Arthur Agee, 45, appeared in court this weekend. He’s accused of punching a woman in west suburban Forest Park last month.

Prosecutors say that woman was left with three broken ribs.

The 1994 film followed Agee and another basketball player as they attempted to succeed on the court, despite living in one of Chicagoland’s poorest neighborhoods.
