Man killed in high-speed crash on Far South Side

CHICAGO — One man is dead after a high-speed crash on Chicago’s Far South Side. It happened at 1:08 a.m. near 11900 S. Avenue O.

Police say a 38-year-old man lost control of his car and hit a telephone pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no reports of any other injuries.
