WWII, Korean War veterans head to D.C. on Honor Flight

CHICAGO — World War II and Korean War veterans are headed to Washington D.C. on the first Honor Flight of the season.

The flight departed from Chicago’s Midway Airport at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Veterans from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines will travel to D.C. to visit the national memorial.
