Offender shot by police in South Shore, officials say
CHICAGO — An offender was shot by police in the city’s South Shore neighborhood Monday evening, according to Chicago police spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi.
Police said the shooting happened on the 7900 block of South Yates Avenue around 9:40 p.m. Monday. The male offender was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious to critical condition.
No police officers were injured during the incident.
No further information was provided.
