Man, 25, shot near Loyola University campus

CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was shot early Thursday morning near Loyola University’s Rogers Park campus.

The man was walking on the 1200 block of West Albion Avenue around 2:30 a.m. when an unknown offender inside of a light-colored sedan fired shots, striking him in the abdomen, leg and lower backside, according to police.

The man was taken to St. Francis Hospital in serious condition.

No one is in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
